cArViNg PuMpKiNs...What an exciting night!!

Wednesday night we went to the store and picked out some pretty big pumpkins to carve. They kids were so excited! So we got started and here's how it looked...

And then about 20 minutes later this is how it looked...

Yes....Derek cut his finger open with a knife! And the only reason I gave him that knife was because that silly little saw they give you in the kits wasnt working. It was a really deap cut, but not to long. The doctor actually thought he hit the tendon but then checked it out and everything was fine. Pretty exciting night for us all! The first time ever in an emergency room with the kids...thats good for having an 11 year old. Well in the end he survived and we did finish carving the pumpkins..not with a knife of course. :-)

Ouch! What an excitement to add to your night. That'll teach you to only let him use the stupid orange saw! :-)

Oh Derek, I so sorry that you had to experience cutting your finger and stitches. No more knives! Cool pumpkins, tho.
